(Listen to the crowd at the 24 sec mark)
I watched 2 games last night at the garden. The first game which lasted 50 minutes of uninspiring, slow, non-physical hockey and then 10 minutes of inspiring, fast, in your mouth hockey. Let’s just say the last ten minutes actually made the game worth going to. All night the B’s looked a step behind, they couldn’t hit the net and seemed to be way too passive but then the power-play came and they found the back of the net which couldn’t have come at a better time. You needed to break down Henrick because when his confidence get’s high there’s no beating him.
2 minutes left, people already were heading for the exits and Horton grinds out a goal Bruins style. Through the puck on the night, get the rebound and jam it home. Plain and simple. It’s not rocket science, the Bruins have to be griddy to win and that’s how Marchand scored with a minute left also. Although his was an absolute snipe from the side angle but that’s here nor there, they didn’t stop working.
It turned out to be a great game, the crowd was incredible at the end. You can hear it in the video, that let’s go Bruins chant is why it’s great to be from Boston. Down 2, we don’t care, let’s go Bruins.
